Privacy Policy

1. Introduction & Accountability

DjamgaMind Bedtime Stories ("we," "us," or "DjamgaMind") is committed to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality for families and educational institutions.

This policy outlines our commitment to the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and international standards including GDPR and CCPA.

2. Data Collection for Educational Use

DjamgaMind Bedtime Stories processes data specifically to deliver high-quality, personalized bedtime stories. This includes:

  • Identity Data: Usernames and email addresses used for account creation.
  • Preferences: Favorite stories, preferred languages, and reading habits to tailor the experience.
  • Gamification Data: Information required to track badges and reading streaks.

3. The DjamgaMind Protection Protocol

Data handling within DjamgaMind Bedtime Stories follows strict protocols to ensure the safety of our users, especially children:

  • Anonymization: Reading habits and aggregate usage data are anonymized.
  • Encryption: All user interactions and account details are protected by enterprise-grade encryption-in-transit and at-rest.
  • Nothing Third-Party Runs Inside the Apps: We never show advertisements. The iOS, Android and Windows apps contain no third-party advertising or analytics scripts of any kind — nothing tracks a child listening to a story inside the app. This is enforced twice over: the pages the apps load carry no measurement tags at all, and our analytics loader additionally refuses to start whenever it detects that it is running inside one of our apps rather than a web browser.
  • The Website Uses Google Analytics: Pages on djamgamindkids.com, including the story pages, load Google Tag Manager so we can see which stories people read and how visitors find the site. This measures pages, not children: we do not build advertising profiles from it, we do not sell it, and — as above — it does not run inside the apps.
  • Advertising Pixels, Named Plainly: We advertise the free library on Reddit and Facebook, and the Reddit measurement pixel loads on the pages of this website that carry our tag manager, where it records that a page was viewed. On the subscription pricing page it also records that you looked at the plans, and after a completed payment it records the purchase and its amount, so we can tell which advertising actually pays for itself. We also store a random identifier in your browser so a visit and a later subscription can be recognised as the same browser — a random string, not your name, your email, or anything derived from your device, and clearing your browser storage removes it. None of this runs inside the iOS, Android or Windows apps: they carry no third-party advertising or analytics of any kind, and the checks that enforce that are in the code itself, not merely in which pages we link to.

4. Third-Party Subscription Data

Our subscriptions and one-time payments are distributed via premium channels:

Stripe & Apple

Subscription payments and individual identities are managed securely by Stripe or Apple. DjamgaMind receives only aggregated, non-identifiable analytics regarding transaction status.
